BOSU® DVD Sports Conditioning Series
The BOSU® DVD Sports Conditioning Series is based on the well-known and innovative sports conditioning techniques developed by Peter Twist of Twist Conditioning, Inc. These linked system techniques, incorporated with the BOSU® Balance Trainer, have helped many college and professional athletes improve their games.There are six sections in each DVD.These include Balance and Equilibrium, Multi Directional Movement, Neuromuscular Activation, Quickness and Agility, Athletic Power, Strength and Core and Flexibility.
Tennis with Douglas Brooks ( TRT: approx. 46 minutes). Learning and practicing integrated movement skills which can enhance balance, core strength, quickness, agility and power can make a big difference in tennis or any other racquet sport. Finding your perfect point of balance and being able to efficiently move from baseline to net requires energy efficient movement. Develop strong serves, forceful ground strokes and leg speed to cover the court. Improved quickness and agility can help you when you’re getting into position to return shots, when you need short bursts of speed or when you need to charge the net.
Skiing and Snowboarding with Douglas Brooks ( TRT: 54 minutes). Learn movement skills such as balance, core strength, quickness, dynamic flexibility and power that can make a big difference in your on-snow performance and overall enjoyment of the sport. Develop fluid, whole body movement control that allows you to move efficiently in all directions –skills import for linking turns and achieving control throughout a line of travel. Improved quickness and agility can help you make quick, successive turns through challenging moguls. Build the endurance and power capability for sustained performance and successive days on the snow.
Baseball and Softball with Douglas Brooks ( TRT: approx. 1 hour). Everything in baseball happens quickly. Throwing, hitting, fielding the ball, getting out of the batter’s box, stealing bases…you name it! Learning and practicing integrated movement skills that improve balance, core strength, quickness, agility and power can make a big difference in your baseball or softball game. This series of multi-directional movement skills will help establish good positioning for fielding and transitioning to a strong throw.These drills focus on total body power production, core strength, stability and rotary movement skills. Linking movement from head to toe will help you throw, hit and move more efficiently.
