Functional Movement Systems

The foundation for the Functional Movement Systems or simply known as FMS was initially started with co-founder Gray Cook. Sketching diagrams of movement patterns…on a napkin.  Those sketches laid the foundation for the entire system today. After working many years with people – from high performance athletes to elderly patients in rehab – who displayed signs of dysfunction either from an injury or poor movement quality, Gray Cook and Lee Burton Functional Movement Systems.

They now teach online courses and seminars around the world. Since 1995, their mission at FMS is for everyone to move well.  And move often.

As Gray Cook says, “let’s play to our strengths, work on our weaknesses,” and move forward together to reach even greater heights.
