Stick Mobility Level 1 Certification

The Level 1 Stick Mobility Certification is designed for fitness professionals, movement coaches, athletes, and enthusiasts who are passionate about improving mobility, strength, and functional performance. Stick Mobility is a system that enhances body awareness, stability, and motor control through the use of Mobility Sticks, leveraging specific techniques to increase range of motion, flexibility, and strength.

This course lays the foundation for using the Stick Mobility system, equipping you with the knowledge and tools to help clients or yourself achieve optimal physical performance through joint mobilization, strength training, and deep fascial stretching.

This course is available as a self paced online or face to face. 

All materials are delivered digitally – It includes theory, practical applications, and hands-on learning with the Mobility Sticks.

At the end of the course, participants must pass a practical exam to demonstrate proficiency in the techniques covered. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required to earn the certification.

Overview

In the Level 1 Stick Mobility Course, you will learn a variety of mobility techniques aimed at improving joint range of motion, movement efficiency, and flexibility. You will develop strength integration strategies to blend strength exercises that enhance mobility while maintaining stability and balance.

 

The course will provide you with a deep understanding of proprioception and body control, helping you improve motor skills through Stick Mobility drills. Additionally, you will explore fundamental movement patterns that support enhanced athletic performance and functional fitness.

 

Finally, you will master functional flexibility techniques that allow for deeper, safer stretching, reinforcing joint stability while unlocking greater flexibility.

Module 1: Introduction to Stick Mobility

  • This module provides an overview of the core principles and philosophy behind Stick Mobility. You’ll gain insight into how mobility, stability, and strength are interrelated and how Stick Mobility bridges these components to create more effective movement patterns. Learn about the unique benefits of using Mobility Sticks and how they can be used to improve physical performance, correct movement dysfunctions, and aid in recovery.

Module 2: Mobility Drills

  • This module breaks down the essential mobility exercises used in Stick Mobility training. These drills are designed to improve joint range of motion, flexibility, and muscle elasticity. You’ll learn how to execute specific drills that enhance movement in areas such as the hips, shoulders, spine, and lower extremities. The goal is to improve your overall movement quality by increasing joint freedom while reducing the risk of injury.

Module 3: Strength Integration

  • In this module, you’ll learn how to incorporate strength training into your mobility routines using the Mobility Sticks. You will be taught how to apply isometric and resistance-based exercises that not only build strength but also enhance mobility and stability simultaneously. These exercises will target functional strength, which is crucial for daily activities and athletic performance, focusing on full-body coordination and balance.

Module 4: Proprioception Training

Module 5: Fascial Stretching

  • This module explores deep fascial stretching techniques that target the body’s connective tissues. By using the Mobility Sticks as leverage, you’ll learn how to stretch muscles and fascia more effectively, improving flexibility while maintaining joint stability. These stretches promote greater tissue health, enhance movement fluidity, and help reduce the risk of injury by alleviating tightness and muscle imbalances.

Module 6: Corrective Exercises

  • The final module focuses on corrective exercises designed to help improve movement dysfunctions and postural imbalances. These exercises are ideal for use in rehabilitation settings or for athletes recovering from injury. You’ll learn how to use Stick Mobility to address specific areas of concern, such as restricted mobility in joints or tightness in muscles, and how to create individualized corrective programs for clients or yourself.

Prerequisites & certification

There are no formal pre-requisites for the Level 1 certification, but this course is best suited for fitness professionals, movement specialists, and those with a background in coaching or physical training. Enthusiasts with a ‘commitment’ to mastering mobility techniques are also welcome. This course provides the tools to help your clients move better, feel stronger, and improve overall body function.

Continuing Education: At the end of the course, participants must pass a practical exam to demonstrate proficiency in the techniques covered. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required to earn the certification.
